Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV)

Permanent Residency with Multiple-Entry Privileges in the Philippines

About the SRRV

The Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) is issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) upon endorsement by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA). It grants its holder the right to reside permanently in the Philippines and enjoy multiple-entry privileges. At ExplorePH Visa, we help you navigate the process so you can enjoy a stress-free retirement or a stable long-term stay in the Philippines.

Important: The SRRV is now available only for applicants aged 50 years and older. The previous option for ages 35 to 49 is no longer applicable.

Our comprehensive visa processing service is offered for a fixed fee of PHP 30,000.00 (excluding government fees).

SRRV Qualification & Deposit Requirements

To be eligible for the SRRV, you must meet the following criteria:

The visa deposit requirements are as follows:

A resident retiree may include as dependents their spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old, provided that an additional deposit of US$15,000.00 is made for each dependent beyond the first two (this additional deposit does not apply to former Filipinos).

SRRV Requirements & Application Process

The following documents are required to apply for the SRRV:

Application Process:
Submit your complete application to the Philippine Embassy (if applying from abroad) or directly to the BOI. After endorsement, the BI will issue a probationary, multiple-entry visa valid for 6 months. Upon arrival in the Philippines and proof of your deposit and subsequent investment conversion, your probationary visa will be upgraded to an indefinite SRRV.

SRRV Options

Although there are officially four SRRV categories, only two options are available now:

SRRV Courtesy

Tailored for former Filipinos and foreign nationals who have served as ambassadors, diplomats, honorary consuls, retirees of international organizations, or former military officers. The required deposit is US$1,500.00.
